Lite Readers AB000251 and Above: Change IP Address Using Device Installer

Using the Lantronix Device Installer software, a timer may change the IP address of a Lite Reader with serial number AB000251 or greater. Below are directions on how to change the IP Address after installing the Lantronix Device Installer (see attachment).

NOTE: If the device is reset for any reason, the IP will revert to a default of 10.19.1.51. If this occurs, you may need to reconfigure your computer's IP before completing the steps below.

1. Open Device Installer
2. Connect Lite Reader to computer via Ethernet cable
3. Turn on reader
4. Search
   • NOTE: The software may not select your Ethernet connection automatically. If this occurs, select Tools > Options. Check the box beside the Ethernet network adapter in the list, and then click OK.
5. Under Lantronix Devices, select Local Area Connection > Wireless >  WiPort b/g - firmware
6. Double-click reader's IP address
7. Select Assign IP
8. Next
9. Complete the following:
   1. IP address
   2. Subnet Mask
   3. Default gateway (Optional)
10. Next
11. Assign
12. Finish
