- Click Windows' Start icon
- Type 'Device Manager' (without quotes), and press Enter
- Click arrow beside Ports (COM & LPT)
- Make note of COM Port number
- Note: Will most likely be listed as Silicon Labs.
- Note: Number after COM is the COM Port number
